Virtual Readers Theater for Teens

Calling all teens ages 13 – 18!

You are invited to participate in the very first West Milford Township Library Readers Theater.

What is Readers Theater?
Readers theater is a dramatic presentation of a written work in a script form. Readers read directly from the script, using facial expressions and sometimes gestures to help convey different moods. Reading parts are divided among the readers. Sometimes readers take turns reading (“round-robin” reading), sometimes everyone reads together (“choral” reading). Lines are not memorized, and no costumes or special lighting is needed.

Readers Theater can be done anywhere, by anyone! No acting experience is required. You need just two things: the ability to read out loud, and an internet connection. Our Readers Theater will take place online. There is no performance pressure here…our goal is to HAVE FUN!

We will be reading to each other, but, if we like how it all turns out, we might consider making an audio recording for people to hear on the library’s website.
