The “Adventure Begins” at your library! Welcome to WMTL’s first Teen Selfie Scavenger Hunt for tweens and teens! It’s time to grab your phones and go on a journey and visit six locations in West Milford. To get started, stop by the first floor display table to pick up a baby blue postcard with all of the information you’ll need. Once you’ve taken your pictures and completed your postcard’s checklist, bring your evidence back to the reference desk staff. After you handed everything in and the staff member signs your postcard, you will be entered in a summer raffle for a $10 Amazon gift card!

Important Dates:

July 1st – August 30th: Complete & submit your postcard and selfie images (postcard must be signed by a staff member at the Reference Desk to participate for raffle prize)

August 31st: Winner of the $10 Amazon gift card will be announced and contacted via email or phone

Full Contest Rules & Guidelines:

1. One entry per tween/teen.
2. When taking a selfie at the designated location, all poses should be appropriate, be wary of people in the surrounding area, and respect the space and others. If you decide to take pictures in groups, each participant must bring in their copy of the photograph.
3. You must take at least one photograph from the six locations. Feel free to take more than one at the location, but only one can be presented at the Reference Desk.
4. Each postcard must be filled out completely (name, contact information, and checked boxes) and returned in tact in order to be eligible for the raffled prize. Furthermore, any damaged or torn postcards must be rewritten before submitting it to the library staff.

All tweens/teens must hand in their postcard during normal library business hours to the Reference/Adult/Teen Services Desk on the first floor of the library. The last day for submission is by August 30th, 2024. No late submissions will be eligible for the raffle.
