Story Time

Miss Theresa and Miss Lauren welcome you to Story Time where children laugh, learn, share, and discover library materials! Each session features books, music and movement, and imaginative play to create a truly interactive experience for all. Our sessions are designed to support early literacy skills, which are the building blocks to reading…and so much more!

A little change for Fall 2020…

Due to our current situation, and to best meet the needs of all family schedules, our Story Time program will be a video recording via YouTube.

Here’s how it will work…

To make it easy, a link to the video will be sent to your email at the start of each week, all you have to do is click it and watch at your convenience!

To round out our early literacy connections, an activity package will be available for your child to enjoy! Registration will be required so packages can be prepared for each child, and also so we have the best email address to send the video link. Please contact Miss Theresa at the Children’s Services desk, 973-728-2823 or by email, mcarthur@wmtl.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Story Time will begin the week of October 11…

There will be 2 Story Time programs for you to choose from. Click on the title to get to the registration page!

Story Time with Miss Lauren is for babies and children up to age 3. Miss Lauren provides a storytime filled with puppets, songs, stories and fun for our little ones!

Imagine with Books

Imagine with Books is a Story Time Plus program for kids in 1st and 2nd grades. Story Time + Facts + Fun = Story Time Plus! Each week we will read a story and then jump into the facts of a topic from the book! Could be the main character, where the story is taking place…or just about anything in the book!

Imagine with Books will run the same way as Story Time. By registering your child, you will receive a link to the video at the beginning of each week and we will provide your child an activity bag with everything you need to make a weekly craft!
