Reading Without Walls

Take part in a awesome mind expanding reading initiative, Reading Without Walls with Gene Luen Yang, the Library of Congress’¬†National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. This initiative takes place during the month of April and challenges you to read beyond your comfort zone to celebrate the overall diversity in books…whether it’s the character, the topic, or the design. Gene Luen Yang is currently serving as the Library of Congress’ fifth National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. His 2006 book American Born Chinese was the first graphic novel to be nominated for a National Book Award and the first to win the American Library Association’s Michael L. Printz Award.
