Divergent Movie Launch Party!!

Teens 'n Tweens--Save the Date!!

Celebrate the launch of the movie Divergent--coming to a theater near you on March 21!  Based on the book by Veronica Roth, Divergent is a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Join us at the Library for munchies, and find out whether you're Selfless, Inteligent, Brave, Peaceful, Honest...or Divergent. Attendance is free, but registration is required. Free Summer Workshops for Tweens/Teens

This summer, teens and tweens are invited to tap into their creativity with free, one-of-a-kind summer workshops at the West Milford Township Library.  All programs will be held in the Town Hall meeting room, and require registration. For the Yoga class, you will need to have your parent/guardian sign a waiver.

Wednesday, July 6, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Paper Mosaic: Up-cycle a sturdy gift box with paper mosaic art.
Wednesday, July 13 - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.:Do you like computer games? Learn how to code at this free workshop. [13 and older]
Tuesday, July 19, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.:Yoga: Learn a variety of poses and the connection of movement and breath. Please bring a Yoga mat or towel.
Wednesday, July 27, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Eco-Friendly Art Journal: Re-purpose CD folders into journals with a message.
Wednesday, August 3, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Bioprint: Write a short bio and transform it into a giant thumbprint.

Ten local youths participated in West Milford Township's Teen/Tween Spring Break Poetry Contest. Our Poet-in-Residence was provided with copies of all entered poems without any identifying information. That means she judged all work on its literary merit alone, without being influenced by age, name or gender. Click the links below to view their poems.
