PALSPlus eLibrary offers best-selling and classic eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Browse the collection, borrow with your library card, and enjoy on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or ereader. Powered by OverDrive and available 24/7.

Ebooks, comics, and graphic novels (as well as movies, television shows, music albums, and audiobooks), all available for mobile and online access – all you need is a valid library card!

Project Gutenberg has over 45,000 titles that are in the public domain (no longer protected by copyright). For the most part, this means the titles are from 1923 or older.

Google Books contains books that have been scanned from major university libraries. Only public domain titles can be downloaded in their entirety. Other titles only allow a snippet view. Use the search box to find titles on a topic, then use the Search Tools to switch from “Any books” to “Free Google eBooks.” Use the gear icon on the right side of the screen to download in pdf format. For example, take a look at History of Bergen and Passaic Counties, New Jersey from 1882.
