Story Time

Details for the 2013 Spring session of Story Time are listed below. In-person registration begins Saturday, March 23 and takes place in the Children's Room. Miss Theresa, Miss Julie and Miss Lauren welcome you to Story Time where children listen, learn, share and discover library materials! Each 30-minute session helps to build early literacy skills and is designed to offer something different for each age group – babies through age 6. Registration is limited to one session per week, per child. Parents and guardians must stay with their children.

Lap Tots: Friday 10:30 a.m.     (Registration Closed for the Spring Session)
Ages: Babies—2 ½
Miss Lauren leads the way with songs, stories, puppets and free play during an energetic story time designed especially for the little ones! This program is perfect for babies, pre-walkers and those toddlers who are not yet ready for Toddler Time. Lap Tots begins April 5 and ends May 3.

Toddler Time: Tuesday 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. 
Ages: 2 & 3
Finger plays, songs and simple stories are the stars of this light-hearted story time! Miss Theresa welcomes children who are ready for more structure than our Lap Tots program. A craft activity is included. Toddler Time begins April 9 and ends May 7. 

Pre-School Stories: Wednesday 10:30 a.m.
Ages: 3—5
Miss Julie introduces longer stories to the pre-school child who is becoming more independent but still enjoys finger plays, songs and a variety of stories. A craft activity is included. Pre-School Stories begins April 10 and ends May 8. 

Big Kid Stories: Wednesday 1:15 p.m.
Ages: 4—6
Miss Julie shares poetry and stories with the older, independent child who is ready to listen, learn and laugh with a mix of fun stories and complex concept books. A craft activity is included. Big Kid Stories begins April 10 and ends May 8.
