The Smartest Card
September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and WMTL wants to make sure that your child has the smartest card of all — a library card. Observed since 1987, this is a time when the American Library Association and libraries across the country remind parents that a library card is the most important school supply of all. Library cards are FREE and bring you a world of opportunity— no matter what your age.
Residents who would like a card may get one at the library as long as they have valid identification like a driver’s license. Children interested in having their own card must be five years old and accompanied by a parent or guardian with proper identification.
