It’s a Bag’s Life - Registration Closed

Accessorize your summer reading at the Library with a book bag designed by you! A variety of materials will be available to use. Ages 2-10. Limited to 25; under the tent. In the event of rain, this program will be rescheduled for a later date.

Science with Mags #1: Here Comes the Boom! - Registration Closed

Tuesday 7/1; 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
District Teacher of the Year Coleen Weiss-Magasic helps to make science experiments fun! This session is all about gases so be prepared for explosive fun! Please wear comfortable clothing, we may get a little messy! Ages 8-14. Limited to 20; under the tent. In the event of rain, this program will be rescheduled for a later date.

Animal Survival Science - Registration Closed

Wednesday 7/2; 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Eyes of the Wild is running with the pack to WMTL! Mammal educator, Travis Gale will explain how animals use chemical defenses and properties of physics to detect and escape danger, as well as an invisible force known as animal "magnetism.” Ages 3 and up. Limited to 75; under the tent. In the event of rain, this program will be held in Town Hall. Please refrain from bringing strollers into the room during this program.

What grows up and what grows down? Find out in our vegetable garden storytime. Craft activity included. Ages 2 and up. There will be 2 sessions, each limited to 15; in the Children's Room.

Fit4Kids! - Still Available

Thursday 7/10; 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Muscle Man Mike and his super hero puppet Soccer Sue, teach children about the importance of keeping their body healthy in an engaging and entertaining show! Ages 2-8. Limited to 75; under the tent. Garden Party - Regsitration Closed

Friday 7/11; 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Tea expert Catherine Felegi is hosting a fancy tea party luncheon for the kids! We ask each child to bring a tea cup. We'll learn about tea and proper tea etiquette, play games, enjoy finger sandwiches, and end with a sweet treat. Ages 4-8. Limited to 15; under the tent. In the event of rain, this program will be held in Town Hall.

The Turtle Show! - Registration Closed

Monday 7/14; 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Author and turtle specialist, Steve Woyce, brings his amazing live turtle show to the Library! Children will see a variety of turtle and tortoise species. Ages 3 and up. Science with Mags #2: Salty, not Sweet - Registration Closed

The Little Rockers Band - Still Available

LEGO Bots - Registration Closed

Thursday 7/17; 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. or 6:45 - 8:15 p.m.
Build a LEGO robot this summer with Shari Ornstein of Brainy Robots! Participants will work in small groups to build and program a robotic project; free build is also incorporated. Kids don't get to take the projects home, but they will bring home a copy of LEGO magazine and fun memories! Ages 6-10. There will be 2 sessions, each limited to 12; in Town Hall.

Dinosaurs with Morris Museum - Registration Closed

Friday 7/18; 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Museum educator Emily Ember teaches about the giants that inhabited the earth millions of years ago. Examine fossils and models to identify characteristics of dinosaurs and how they lived. Ages 5-10. Limited to 30; in Town Hall.

Art Kids Academy: Spectrum Art - Registration Closed

Monday 7/21; 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Learn about the science of colors and the American artist Ellsworth Kelly. Participants will create a spectrum burst art project! Ages 7-14. Limited to 25; in Town Hall.

Belinda Bumble Bee - Registration Closed

Thursday 7/24; 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
Meet Jennifer Burns Katafigiotis, author of Belinda Bumble Bee, a whimsical tale of the importance of bumble bees to our survival. She will do a reading of her book, a demonstration, and sign a post card for each child! In addition, each family will receive a digital copy of the book for free, compliments of Miss Theresa! Ages 3-7. Limited to 30; under the tent.

Star Lab - Registration Closed

Pearl Observatory is back with the inflatable dome known as the Star Lab; a unique tool to observe the night sky—indoors! See the planets and stars, and learn about the mythological origins of constellations. Ages 3 and up. There will be 2 sessions, each session is limited to 25; in Town Hall.

There is a hidden laboratory named Doolittle that holds the secrets of matter and its three states; solids, liquid, and gas. Naturalist Jill Bennetta from The Flat Rock Brook Nature Center brings live reptiles and amphibians to help teach children the different characteristics of these two animal families. Participants will be able to touch the animals while learning about conservation and respect for all living things. Each session is limited to 30; under the tent. Wild World of Weather with Morris Museum - Registration Closed

Thursday 8/7; 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Museum educator Emily Ember teaches about weather phenomena through wacky and wonderful demonstrations. Ages 5-10. Limited to 30; in Town Hall.
