Computer Classes

On Wednesdays from 9:45—10:45 a.m., WMTL provides hands-on instruction in a series of free introductory computer classes. Registration is limited to five WMTL cardholders per session. To register, visit the Adult/Teen Services desk or call 973-728-2822.

 

Computer Basics
September 22 & 29
This two-part course covers the basics of using a computer—includes using a mouse,  computer lingo, and fundamental operations.

 

Intro to the Web
October 6, 13 & 20
Learn how to use Internet Explorer to navigate the Web. Three sessions include browser basics, using search engines, and email fundamentals. Proficiency with a mouse is required.

 

Basic Microsoft Word
October 27 & November 3
Learn the essentials of creating documents with Microsoft Word in this two-part class. Proficiency with a mouse is required.

 

Basic Microsoft Excel
November 10 & 17
Create simple tables, sort and summarize your data,  and learn all the basic functions of Excel. Proficiency with a mouse is required
